(Sarah Middleton-Woolley & Nigel Smith)
Alone here on the streets, miles away from home
What is happening here, where’s everybody gone?
Silent, dark and still with a cool autumn chill
I head across the town, for the tavern on the hill
I feel he’s watching and he’s waiting for me out of sight
Against the walls in the shadows of the buildings
He’s out to get me as he starts to fly
Swooping, diving down
Circling round with outstretched claws
Running, terrified
Trying every door
I don’t know what this nightmare’s all about
Will I ever get out
Alive
Restless sleeping, rapid breathing
Tossing, turning, fever, burning
Kicking, screaming, deathly feeling
Heart is pounding, fear surrounding
Cut down the alley way, to an empty road
Jumps out, swipes at me, and tares at all my clothes
Quick now, shoes in hand, only two more streets to go
If I don’t loose him, my location he will know
I finally make it to the tavern where it’s warm and bright
I’ll be safe for the remainder of the evening
I’ve still got to make it home tonight
Swooping, diving down
Circling round with outstretched claws
Running, terrified
Trying every door
I don’t know what this nightmare’s all about
Will I ever get out
Alive
Swooping, diving down
Circling round with outstretched claws
Running, terrified
Trying every door
I don’t know what this nightmare’s all about
Will I ever get out
Alive
